"the sweetest winds, they blow across the South"
I went home for ten days a couple of weeks ago. It was one of my best trips home. I spent a lot of time with my family and driving around the country. I miss the South so much. The land, the people, the air....everything. This trip I really got to hang around the town my parents live in and explore the people and places that make it such a great little town. It's not much. Probably nothing at all to people up here but I just couldn't get enough of it. There is so much character and expression in every home on every corner and in the faces of the people who live there. Southerners are so welcoming and open. It was amazing how they would just let me in their homes and lives to take their photos. I really met some amazing and beautiful people.

I already told you but I'll tell you in a very public sphere: these made me cry. They are beautiful. They look so much like the South, and beyond that they seem to somehow visually express the voice of the South: sweet, pure, joyful, hearty, hardworking, and humble.
ReplyDeleteI think that means you did something right. :)
